You should keep your resume to one page, if it isn’t already. That is the first thing. Second, enter under every job, what you did at that company, and how you saved, or made the company. Describe how you improved something. If you can put a % of change in the positive, that would help. Ex. Managed 3 junior sales staff and raised sales 30% within the first 3 months of receiving the position.
For your employment, mention what kind of skills you developed/applied in each of your points.
Example: “Respond to client criticism and comments with a positive approach” could be “Demonstrated excellent customer service skills by addressing client concerns and responded appropriately in a positive manner”. Employers want to see what skills you have/learned and how you have/can apply them for their company. As well, try to be more specific; as a potential employer, I don’t know what you mean by “day-to-day operations” or how you motivated your staff. Always begin each point with an action verb in the past tense.
For you skills summary, add more to where you got these skills from, but in a brief way. You want to give employers a reason to keep reading your resume. You say customer service, but that doesn’t mean anything on its own.
As well, you can add any volunteer and extra-curricular activities to show other skills you may have acquired (team work, interpersonal, problem solving, leadership, etc).
Good luck!
