Pre and post natal care
Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant
You are mixing 2 things here: an obstetrician is a MD (medical doctor); not a nurse. Nurses that work in labor & delivery are called L & D nurses; some places still have separate nursery nurses (in some it is combined); it could also be called antepartum, perinatal, etc. Many nursery nurses do not do a lot of the classic care anymore as the babies room with mom and many women go home in a very short time–not like the “old days”. You would need to attend nursing school (a bachelors RN) for this. Good luck.
