Sorry that I cannot speak specifically to CA, but in my state, the state board of nursing website allows you to register and under your profile it shows pending applications, testing status, licensure status, etc. So when we take the NCLEX, it says “results pending” or something similar, and once you pass it says “Pass”. I had my results the next morning after I tested. A friend of mine who did not pass said her status held as “results pending” until she got the letter saying she failed, it never told her online that she did not pass.
You can go to the Pearson website;supply some basic information and you should have results fairly quickly. I think they say around 24 hours, but I found out much sooner.
