I prefer spending quality time with my patients. I want my patient and family to feel cared for with all physical, emotional, educational needs met.Patients always ask to have me back as their nurse. Please offer any ideas for employment that is satisfying and not too stressful.

I’m sure if you do a little homework, that there are organizations that specialize in this kind of care or you may want to look into doing contract work for individuals. Just be sure that if your a contractor, that you check with licensing laws in each state you plan to work in. You may also want to contact some people in major hospitals in your area to consult and they can give you the best ideas.
Also, contact your union (if your in one) and look at some options in regards to pay, insurance, and maintaining a consistent economic base when doing contract work and find a good lawyer when out there in the field. Anything can happen out there and you need to have the best to back you up. Remember: the first person you care for is yourself.
Sounds like Home healthcare visits would be a great fit for you. One on one patient care – give patients the type of attention we want to as nurses. I’ve done home visits for ages – very rewarding type of nursing.
Also check into Hospice homecare – I’ve done that also and really love it —- a bit different then regular homecare visits and you can truly make a difference to people.
Have you thought about doing home health care for the government? Check with the VA hospital in your area to see if they are looking for a person with your experience. plus since it is the government, the health benefit should be just what you are looking for. I’m pretty sure that there are plenty of veterans in the need of quality home health care. I hope this helps. By the way, try to apply for a job through your state as well. The state normally offer good benefits as well.
You have given no information as to what nursing background you have, even your education. It would be impossible to provide any guidance for a career, especially for someone who should be as advanced in the nursing career (given your age).
If you provide more information, a better and more thoughtful answer could be given, otherwise, I would be giving stupid and general answers to a person who it may not help, like those above.
As far as benefits are concerned, many of the home health agencies provide similar benefits, but some actually hire the RNs as independent contractors, so they pay for the hours, but no benefits. Much like a per diem position. As far as the VA, they have a good benefit package, but have a limitied Community Primary Care Home Inititiative at this time. Most are only located in association with VA medical centers. So those options have significant limits.
