I don’t get it, are you suppose to apply for student aid before you get accepted into college or get accepted and then apply for aid?

you should have applied a long time ago…you get aid from the government…they don’t care where you get accepted…the priority date for getting aid was March 1, but if you go to fafsa.ed.gov you can fill out a form for aid…you will need the school id number so that it can get directly sent to your school…good luck.
When you fill out a FAFSA a school can then determine how much aid you are eligible for. There are Federal grants (free money), state grants (free money), and institutional grants (free money from the college). Some schools can offer you free money just based on your grades, but most of the aid you are looking for needs the FAFSA to determine if you have the need for it.
You also can’t get the federal loans with the good interest rates unless you fill out the FAFSA.
Fill out the FAFSA ASAP! You will need your 2006 federal taxes and possibly your parent’s taxes to complete it.
If you are planning to begin college you need to have in mind teh semester…You have to apply for FAFSA before you beging, it doesn’t matter if you are not accepted in the college that you want, but if you go to other college and they accept you the financial aid will be the same…
