A Navy Lieutenant said I would be doing the work of a Physician Assistant when he explained what the scholarship was about before I applied for it. Is this true? What kind of work do you do?

Congrats. yes, Navy Nurses can be PAs as well as Nurses. Expect to run the gamut of all Nursing specialties throughout your career, from Emergency ,medicine to OB/GYN to surgery.
Im not a navy nurse but a civilian nurse and It is the most rewarding career you can chose. I take car od babies that are at home on ventilators and knowing that I give that baby one more day with his family s the most awesome feeling in the world. There are so many fields of nursing you can chose-so you never get stuck in a rut. the first 6 months of nursing school are the hardest and then clincals area breeze! Best of luck to you.
