Ive been in college for a good while now, and being honest during the FIRST 2 years, ive played around and my grades werent all that good. I failed 2 courses and made many C’s and D’s..
Now that im older, ive matured. I want to apply to nursing school. Ive taken the prereqs a long time ago and i made bad grades in them.
Now im taking them over again and im comming out with A’s and B’s.
Question is: When I apply to the nursing program; I have the required grades and the GPA needed. But will they take into consideration of the awful grades Ive made in the courses say 2 years ago when I was younger? Or will they just look at my new good grades that I just made and is still making?
Im looking for real honest answers..Mainly from nursing school students, RN’s, etc,
thanks alot!
You’ve proved that you can do the work with your recent grades. That means that you could have done it then, but you didn’t apply yourself. You should be good to go. .
Note: Grades aren’t the only thing that admissions boards considers when reviewing applications. So, go on and apply!
