Does the chinese government offer student aid for foreigners?

I’m going to Shanghai next year for a college semester abroad and I was wondering if there is any program for student aid when it comes to accommodation and stuff for foreigners.

    Depending on your university. Most likely no. They are very strict about their schooling and they would like to keep their money to their full-time, degree-seeking students. See if you can arrange a contract with your home school and the school in China. Since you’re there for only a semester, the chances are even lower. Perhaps you can find yourself a tutoring job on the side for some cash.

    Apply for student aid in your home country and then apply to be allowed to use it at a foreign institution.
