    You can’t get financial help if you don’t file.

    Ariya:

    You will receive a Student Aid Report from the Department of Education, and your school will receive an ISIR (their version of the SAR) – that’s not the problem.

    The problem is that your school will not be able to actually disburse aid to you until you finalize your application by updating your FAFSA with the information that was provided on the tax return(s).

    You know what they say –

    “Financial aid in your hand is worth 10 EFC scores in the bush”.
