If you are a nursing student I doubt any links or websites that we can provide will be an acceptable research item. You will need peer reviewed nursing journals which you won’t find for free online. One peer reviewed nursing journal that is online and free is the OJIN which is the ANA’s journal. You can find the ANA’s website at http://www.nursingworld.org. Otherwise you will need to go to your school’s library website and look at the article databases. Do you have Ebscohost or something like that? If you do try to go to CINAHL and search, make sure to click full text, peer review and subset nursing and you will come up with a lot of information.
In the introduction you will try to capture the attention of the audience and tell what is going to be told within the presentation/paper.
I’d say the main factor affecting students’ performance would be the amount of work that is suddenly put on them and the short time it needs to be covered in, everyday there is something major due or an exam plus clinicals. At my school everyone calls the junior year (that’s when we do med surg) the brick wall year. Apparently, that is when everyone seeks free counseling through our counseling service (I don’t know how they have time). I’d say the main thing is time management and following Maslow’s hierarchy ourselves, you know taking care of our physiological needs first–sleep, eat, etc…
