I got a wreckless driving ticket 4 years ago and I worried that I could affect employers when I look for a job. I am a nurse looking for a nursing job, but on the application it asks if you have ever been convicted of a misdemeanor. So how do employers view convictions like that?

In a nursing profession, it should not natter; if it was for theft, or assault on someone, that is different
Yes…….it shows a pattern…….and with the liability associated with nursing…….if something goes wrong they can come back and attack your employer on your background……..I know it sucks…….but that’s the way it is…….
Is it really a misdemeanor in your state? Sometimes it’s called a violation…like a speeding ticket-which actually isn’t a crime. Check with your state’s DMV.
If it is criminal it may very well affect your employment.
