Spector was a DUMBacrat. Is a DUMBacrat and always will be a DUMBacrat. He only ran as a Republican because when he first ran for the senate seat in Pennsylvania it was during the Reagan revolution. No DUMBacrat could win Pennsylvania then. Check out his voter registeration before he ran for the senate. It was DUMBacrat. Check out his party affilation when he was in the Pennsylavina state house. He was a DUMBacrat. Was. is, and always will be.
Senator Lahey is the head of the Judiciary Committee at this point. Had it been republicans elected, it would have been Senator Specter. It is critical to point out the Specter got the Real I.D. Bill passed in spite of Lahey.. in spite of Lahey, and we moved into the potential for something very good.
So this: he is still in opposition to Lahey positiion, and he is still powerful. I am not sure I would want to do that. The Real I.D. is under attack by Napolitano, and I want Specter around for the battle. I want Napolitano gone.. and if that means Specter hangs on.. fine with me.

I say good riddance to bad rubbish. It’s good Arlan left to be a Democrat. Once less liberal Republican to worry about. It’s about time the line was drawn in the sand again (Remember the Alamo).
