-I have already been to my obgyn…who has scheduled and ultrasound for tomorrow (biopsy to follow if necessary). I just wanted to know if this is common. I have been nursing my 2nd child for 2 weeks and noticed a hard lump (size of an almond) on the base of my left breast. It is NOT painful and I do not have a fever..so I don’t think it is a plugged duct. Has anyone had this happen?

yes. i had an ultrasound and they said it was debris but couldnt tell me how the hell i got debris in my boob. they said it could have been a cyst that broke down on its own (which is possible and common) but other than that they couldnt define it.
It could be a plugged duct. They aren’t always painful and usually aren’t accompanied with a fever unless it has progressed to mastitis. It could also be a benign cyst. Good luck!
mastitis?
