I am doing a breast cancer walk tomorrow. I was thinking of making my 6 month old son a shirt that says “save the boobies” in pink with a pink ribbon– mainly because he is nursing. I can’t figure out how to tie the nursing into the shirt though so people get it.
Otherwise I think people may think I just have a sick sense of humor… lol
I don’t see why you’d have to make it perfectly clear to everyone that he is breastfeeding. I think most people who saw a 6 month old with a shirt that said ‘save the boobies’ would think it was cute. I don’t think you need to make sure everyone knows that you’re nursing.
P.S. Wouldn’t your son want to save the boobies even if he wasn’t nursing?
I don’t really know if there is a ‘symbol’ for breastfeeding, but I think most people would know that be was breastfed. I think it is a really creative idea.
I agree with the first answer. Many people would think baby=breastfeeding not baby=little pervert. Cute idea, I like it.
yep, there is a symbol- go to http://www.breastfeedingsymbol.org
