I have really struggled finding employment with my business degree, everybody wants to hire people with experience, and I don’t have any. I have a couple of friends who are in the nursing field and they don’t seem to any trouble finding work. I was wondering if having a double major in the two fields would open any other doors. Any advice welcome, tia

Yep – if you get a nursing degree you will find employment just about 100% for sure. If you like that employment or not is another matter – the nurses I know all hate the work and want out (the hours are long and the work ‘crappy’.). Nurses seem to gravitate to easier jobs their nursing qualification allows them to do such as collecting blood at a pathologist or being a receptionist at a doctors or specialists surgery. Those other types of jobs actually don’t pay much if anything less than being a nurse but the hours are usually shorter so you dont take home as much.
Thanks

That is a great field to go into.I am going to school right now to become a nurse.I looked into getting a job after I graduate to become a traveling nurse.I say go for it.Also don’t do it for the money you have to have a passion for what you want to do.
