I ask this question because i am having a difficult time finding employment at this time and it seems as though CNA is the only type of job that it is easy finding employment in.
I really don’t want to go into the field of work because i have heard other CNA’s say that it is a very difficult and stressful job. Would you do this type of work if you were in my shoes and was having difficulty finding employment elsewhere?
I was going to answer yes, that I’d do anything if I needed a job.
But then the rest of your paragraph made me think differently – your friends are ABSOLUTELY right. I’ve seen first hand the work CNA’s do caring for elderly and disabled patients!
CNA work can be very demanding, because you are working with people who cannot take care of themselves. You cannot know beforehand just how hard it might be for you. If you don’t have a heart for caring for people, and doing jobs that can be unpleasant, like cleaning up for patients who have made a mess, then you would be miserable and the patients would not get the best care.
Think about this before you decide – you seem like a very smart person to be considering before you make your decision. Good luck to you!
