I am about to apply to do a nursing degree. I have exp. working with teenagers with learning difficulties and loved it. I would really like to do the Learning Disability branch of nursing but would child nursing be more appropriate, or perhaps adult nursing then then an 18 months conversion on top of that?

I would recommend child nursing, You can do general nursing and then branch off but if you are certain you want to specialise in childrens nursing then the child nursing option would probably be the most suitable

Focus your studies on Pediatric nursing and especially Adolescent Nursing if you wish to work with teenagers. If you want to pursue the Hospice side, do some courses in Oncology, Pediatric Cardiology
